Main functions of the Property Department:
- Administration of the rational and expedient usage of the real estate owned by the Riga Municipality and the land plots available at its disposal;
- Securing the privatisation process of the Riga Municipality objects and land plots, the alienation process of the Riga Municipality real estate and the capital shares owned by the Riga Municipality;
- Purchasing real estate to secure the Riga Municipality autonomous functions, including formation of the land plots exchange fund;
- Formation of the compensation fund of the equal value land plots;
providing management of the capital shares owned by the Riga Municipality and of co-participation of the Riga Municipality in foundations and associations.
