Transport Issues Committee

The competence of the Transport Issues Committee is:

• public transport and its development;
• roads and streets.

Transport Issues Committee supervises Riga City Council Transport department.

Transport Issues Committee:

• cooperates with Riga municipality police;
• supervises the work of the Commercial Passenger Transport Licensing Commission of Riga City Council and the Commission on Issuing Transport Entry Permits Into Old Riga of Riga City Council. 

Pursuant to decision No 6 of Riga City Council of July 7, 2009, the number of councillors working on the Transport Issues Committee may not exceed 17.

The sessions of the committee take place on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m.  in room No 121.
